Her relationship with art began in early childhood and later evolved, under the influence of her engineering education, into a distinct intellectual and visual inquiry. After graduating from the Department of Electronics Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, she continued her artistic practice and, from 1995 onward, began producing graphic design, illustration, and original compositions in digital environments.
In 2007, she joined the founding faculty of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Işık University. She completed her MA in Art Theory and Criticism at Işık University in 2011, her Proficiency in Art degree at Beykent University in 2016 with the experimental short film project Red Square, and her PhD at Işık University in 2017 with the dissertation Electronic Art and New Directions in the 21st Century.
Her first book, Op Art in Its Process of Formation, was published in 2012, followed by Digital Art in Its Process of Formation in 2018. She continues her academic work as a Professor in the Department of Visual Communication Design, Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Işık University, where she also serves as Department Chair. Her research focuses on the relationship between art and design, digital culture, artificial intelligence and art, cultural heritage, and museology.
Since 1995, her artistic practice has focused primarily on digital art. Alongside solo exhibitions, she has participated in national and international group exhibitions, and her works are held in private as well as national and international museum collections.
Her artistic practice explores the relationships between chaos and order, movement and balance, and uncertainty and structure through layered combinations of organic and geometric forms. Compositions shaped by light, color, rhythm, and metallic surface effects reveal a continuous search for balance within an ever-transforming visual field.
